We regret to inform you that we have worked with the CPSC to implement a voluntary recall of the armrest bar and snack tray on the following models.
2010/2011 Zooper Tango (SL808G)
2010/2011 Waltz (SL800J)
2010 Flamenco (SL350B)
2011 Twist (BU822B)
The armrest bar and snack tray did not meet the current voluntary safety standard.
The reason for the recall is to address the opening between the armrest bars or snack tray and seat bottom of the stroller can allow an infant’s body to pass through and become entrapped at the neck, posing a strangulation hazard to young children when a child is not harnessed. Parents are encouraged always to secure children by using the safety harness and to never leave them unattended. We want to stress that the problem is strictly related to the armrest bar / snack tray and not the design of the stroller. No incidents/injuries have been reported.
We have prepared a replacement armrest bar and snack tray repair kit to eliminate the hazard. This can be attached to the stroll frame without the use of tools. Consumers and Retailers can contact Zooper customer service 1-888-966-7379 or visit Zooper website to receive the free replacement armrest bar and snack tray repair kit by submitting a service request form. Replacement parts will be available beginning July 1, 2011.
Zooper takes matters of safety extremely seriously, and strives to ensure that our products are the safest on the market at all times. All of our strollers have passed U.S. ASTM safety standards, as well as European strollers standards. We maintain full confidence that our strollers manufactured are of the highest quality in the industry. Our replacement armrest bars and snack tray repair kit completely removes the hazard and will ensure the continued safe use of the stroller for years to come.
Sincerely,
Joyce Lan
